Messiah is Alive
All this history is meticulously documented
in the books of the New Testament, written by many different eyewitnesses.
Today thousands of Jewish believers expect Jesus to return to this world someday,
just as he promised.
Many men have appeared in Jewish history who
have seemed to be Messiah: Simon Bar Kokhba, Moses of Crete, Serene, Abraham
Abulafia, Shabettai Zevi, Jacob Frank, Theodor Herzl, Menachim Schneerson,
etc. But all of them have died.

Only one of them is alive today: Jesus of Nazareth! He died
on Passover around the year 30. But God his Father resurrected him three days
later, to demonstrate that he was truly God's Son. He appeared with a new
glorified body, and was recognized by many hundreds of people for 40 days.
During that time, Jesus made clear to his Jewish followers the teaching of
the Hebrew Scriptures. He showed them how the entire Torah, the Writings, and
the Prophets pointed to a coming Messiah.

It is
incredible how the details of Jesus' life fulfill the numerous prophecies
given to the Jewish people! Jesus said that he would be leaving soon, but
that God's Holy Spirit would then come to comfort all believers. He also said
that he would return someday. On the 40th day, many saw Jesus ascend into
heaven to sit at the right hand of the Father. Ten days later, on Shavuot,
the Holy Spirit came, and the Messianic movement was born. And soon a large
number of Gentiles believed in the God of Israel. They also became part of
God's people.
